# Subscription plans
> Compare the Free, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscription plans, see which features and credit tiers each plan includes, and find the student and teacher discount.
Lovable has a Free plan and three paid plans: Pro, Business, and Enterprise. This page compares what each plan includes. For current prices and credit tiers, see [Lovable pricing](https://lovable.dev/pricing).
Upgrade, downgrade, switch between monthly and annual billing, or cancel, and see what happens to your credits afterward.

*\*After you reach the monthly cap, Lovable stops granting the daily 5 credits for the rest of that calendar month and resumes on the 1st at 00:00 UTC. For example, on Free, you receive daily build credits for the first 6 days each month (6 × 5 = 30), then none until the next month starts.*
**Make the most of your included daily chat allowance and daily build credits**.
Chat usage follows its own pricing model, including a per-message price and a daily chat allowance. Free, Pro, and Business plans include the **daily chat allowance** for messages in [Chats](/features/chats) and [Chat mode](/features/chat-mode), including Lovable in [Slack](/integrations/lovable-for-slack) and [Telegram](/tips-tricks/lovable-telegram-bot). It resets every day at **00:00 UTC** and does not roll over. See [Chat costs](/introduction/credits-and-usage#chat-costs).
Free, Pro, and Business plans also include **5 daily build credits** at no extra cost. They reset every day at **00:00 UTC** and do not roll over.
On Free plans, daily build credits are capped at **30 per calendar month**. After you reach the monthly cap, daily build credits resume on the 1st of the next calendar month at **00:00 UTC**.
Pro and Business plans do not have a monthly cap for daily build credits.
**Free, Pro, and Business** workspaces include monthly Cloud and AI grants so you can host apps, run their built-in backend (Cloud), and use AI features in deployed apps without spending general credits on that usage first.
**Enterprise** terms vary by contract. Enterprise plans do not include the daily chat allowance, daily build credits, or the monthly Cloud and AI grants. Contact your account team for account-specific details.

## Subscription tiers and billing cycles
Pro and Business plans come in monthly credit tiers, from 100 to 10,000 credits per month. You choose the tier from the credits dropdown on the plan card in [**Workspace settings → Plans & credit usage**](https://lovable.dev/settings/billing).
Each tier is billed monthly or annually. Annual billing gives you two months free compared with paying monthly. Monthly plan credits on annual billing are still issued monthly and stay valid until 1 month after the annual billing period ends.

## Student and teacher discount
Students and teachers at universities, colleges, and schools get 50% off for up to 12 months on the Pro plan with 100 credits per month, billed monthly. Lovable verifies your status on [lovable.dev/students](https://lovable.dev/students) by checking the domain of your account's email address (the part after the @) against a list of academic institutions. Verification is available only to workspaces on the Free plan, and each person can use the discount once.
Create your Lovable account with your institution's email address, or log in to the account that already uses it. Lovable verifies the email address your account is registered with, and that address cannot be changed. If your existing account uses a personal email, create a new account with your academic email. See the tip below for moving your projects into the new account's workspace.
Open [lovable.dev/students](https://lovable.dev/students) and select **Verify student status**. Choose **Student** or **Teacher**, select **Next**, answer the short questions about your studies or teaching, confirm your status, and select **Verify Status Now**.
After verification, the same dialog shows the **Pro for Students** plan at the discounted price. The plan name also covers verified teachers. Select **Upgrade** and complete checkout. To return to the plan later, select **Get your discount** on [lovable.dev/students](https://lovable.dev/students). Your verification stays valid for 12 months, so subscribe within that time. The discount then applies for up to 12 months from the start of your subscription, or until you cancel. Lovable does not offer the discount again after you cancel.
The discount has these limits:
* It applies only to the Pro plan with 100 credits per month, billed monthly. Higher Pro credit tiers, annual billing, and other plans are not available with the discount.
* Credit top-ups are charged at standard prices.
* The discount is tied to the account that verified and cannot be transferred to another account or person.
**My institution's email domain is not recognized**
If the verification dialog shows **Invalid email**, either your address is a personal one, which Lovable cannot verify, or your institution's domain is not on the list yet. For an institution domain, select **Why did this happen?** and then **Request review**. Lovable reviews requested domains and adds eligible institutions to the list. If Lovable adds yours, verify again from [lovable.dev/students](https://lovable.dev/students).
If your projects are in a workspace owned by an account with a personal email, verify with a new account that uses your academic email and subscribe there. Then invite your personal account to the new workspace, because you can move a project only between workspaces you belong to. Logged in as your personal account, select **Move workspace** in each project's settings to move the project there.
